A Literary-Folklore Celebration in the Vyoshenskaya Village

The Russian writer Mikhail Sholokhov is often referred to as the Lev Tolstoi of the 20th century. The internationally renowned author of «Quietly Flows the Don» throughout his life remained faithful to his home village, Veshenskaya. And that village, in return, has remained faithful to him – its inhabitants carefully preserve everything linked to Sholokhov’s life and times. At the end of May, on the anniversary of the birth of the «chronicler of the Don region», the Sholokhov Spring All-Russian Literature and Folklore Celebration is held. It was attended by RTG TV host Ludmilia Shiryayeva.
