Tour of Volgograd

Volgograd is one of the largest cities of the world, it stretches out along the Volga river for 74 kilometers. In the south part of the city springs the Volga-Don Canal, which connects two great Russian rivers the Volga and the Don. At the north part of the city the largest hydroelectric station in Europe The Volga Hydroelectric Station or Volga GES is situated. For the hydroelectric station's building a few factories were built not far from the city. It's reasonable, that cultural and historical curiosities are situated in the center of Volgograd. In general, the city is the monument to the great Battle of Stalingrad, which was a turning point during World War II. The presenter Igor Maksimenko visited the Panorama Museum and Mamayev Kurgan. From the very bottom to the statue the Motherland Calls there are precisely 200 footsteps. That is how long the Battle of Stalingrad went on.
