The Pyakyakha Deposit is unique both in its natural qualities and in the way that it is being developed. In essence, this is a man-made island amidst the impassable marshes of the Yamal peninsula. In the summer you can only get here by helicopter, whilst in the colder seasons you travel here along a road laid out over the frozen tundra. Despite those difficulties, in just two years an entire complex of high-tech sites for the extraction and refinement of oil, gas and condensate has sprung up. The Pyakyakha deposit is new ad extremely promising. It has already gone down in history thanks to its significance, its complexity and the speed of its development. And this is just the beginning works aimed at the mastering of the Arctic's deposits.
