Breakthrough - A historical-artistic panorama

The history of the lifting of the Siege of Leningrad is a history of the pain and pride of a city. The heroism people demonstrated in fighting for the city is one of the most tragic pages in the Second World War. Decades later their descendants preserve memories of these brave defenders – all those who managed to defend the great city and save lives on the shores of the Neva River. On January 18, 2018, to mark the 75th anniversary of the lifting of the Siege, on the site of a legendary battle, in the village of Marino, a new museum was opened. It’s exhibition is unique. Here, a large-scale episode in the fight for Leningrad which took place on January 13, 1943, has been recreated, as have the stories of a group of humble Soviet soldiers who were fated to live and die during this period.
