In Orthodox Christianity, the celebration of the Baptism of the Lord is a holiday honoured on the same level as Christmas. It is one of the many Orthodox holidays celebrated between the end of December and mid-January, and a day when many believers go church. RTG TV host Alexander Uvarov attended the service at the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Sestroretsk.
